Hike matches you to creatives based on many factors, such as values, skills, location and what they are currently looking for. This then gives you a % on how much a particular creative matches your company and job post. We’ll also recommend creatives that match your job posts even if they haven’t applied just yet, making sure that you're matched to the perfect creative.
When we refer to “company” we’re talking about the “hirer". A company (the hirer) is who is looking to employ a particular creative. A "creative" (the seeker) want to find and be hired by a company.
It's not unusual that your company post your positions on Twitter, Facebook and job boards - but the reach and results of this are very low. This is because the majority of people who follow your company on these platforms are usually doing so because they like your work, not because they want to work for you.
Our goal with Hike is to make the whole process of finding a creative simpler and faster. Hike puts your company in front of creatives who are not only actively looking for a job, but are also matched to your company values and skills.
We also take out the laborious task of looking through websites, PDF’s, portfolios, CV’s and covering letters to find creatives that match your job post. Keeping everything central in one place, and scannable so you can hire quicker.
Sorry but recruitment agencies are not allowed on Hike. We manually vet company profile signups to ensure that no nasty recruitment agencies get through. We only allow companies that are hiring for themselves, to keep the connection between creative and company closer.
We want to allow creatives to see who is hiring them and make sure you're the correct company for them. This means creatives can match companies to their own values and vice versa. It also allows yourself to show off what your company is all about, rather than it just being about the job position.
Sadly, for our initial release we will only be available in the UK. This allows us to be more specific with who applies for jobs, and where jobs are placed. We’ll be opening this up to other countries as we expand. Got any questions on this? Contact us [email protected].
We know that other job boards / recruitment software exists already, and it’s good to have competition. But all of these platforms lack certain features that Hike combines as one solo product. We’re also not a ’social platform’ in terms of showing off your portfolio, we’re simply a way to find and hire a creative, fast. We’ll be releasing a full feature list soon with comparisons against other platforms. Sign up for product updates to be notified about this.
Of course! We want to allow you the freedom to post jobs anywhere, no matter the platform. We’ll just take care of the hiring process for you.
Yes! Although Hike is a central place for the whole hiring process, we know that your job posts still need to be findable by creatives not on Hike. All job posts will be publicly available (with a few features hidden!) and will be search engine optimised.
Oh no, that nasty word - pricing. While we’d like to offer Hike for free, we can’t do this as a business model. However, we’re not like other job boards where we charge extortionate amounts per job, or for posting a job for X amount of days. It’s a simple pricing structure that works better for small / medium companies.
But, for early release we’ll be completely free for quite some time. Then we’ll be offering discounts for early signups that will then be grandfathered in at a set price… forever!
For sure! We will have 2 options available, whether you include our widget on your website, or pull through the jobs via our API and customise how this looks. All hiring will still be done on Hike, but you can still advertise your job wherever you like!
Of course! When you post a job or update your profile you get customisable options. We want to allow companies to express their ethos, values and identity and the only way to do this is to allow you to customise your profiles and jobs. This means you can show off that cute studio dog, or add your brand colours.
We’ll be posting updates on our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. But if you sign up to our mailing list (no spam, we promise!) you can be notified about early product releases.
Nice one! You can get in touch with us on [email protected], we’ll try to answer any questions you have within 24 hours.

Not necessarily a fight, but a step in the right direction. We know how hard it is to get into companies, but also know how hard it is to then be able to afford 3 month internships without getting paid. We advise companies to offer (at the very least) expenses, and if they can’t, we ask for their reason. This means you know that internships posted on Hike will likely always include some form of monetary help. Got any questions on this? Contact us [email protected].
Hike matches you to jobs / companies based on many factors, such as values, skills, location and what they are currently looking for. This then gives you a % on how much a particular job / company matches your requirements. We’ll also recommend jobs that match your criteria even if you haven’t yet discovered a particular company, making sure that you're matched to the perfect position.
Hike is a platform for all creatives, so whether you're a designer, artist, architect, programmer or copywriter we accommodate everyone. Your profile will adjust based on the type of creative you are, allowing you to send images in your applications if you're a designer, or if you're a copywriter sending articles that are still scannable by companies for example.

Unlike other job boards, we don’t put the job first. Crazy right? At Hike we want to help you find that dream job, but part of finding a dream job is finding a company that you want to work for. We will help you find a job and company that match your current search criteria, skills, location and values / ethics.
